An arrest warrant says that a Lubbock man who died after being shot at an RV park was not the intended target.

KAMC News reports that Wade Parramore had given Anthony Garza a ride out to the Loop 88 RV Park in the 9900 block of County Road 6900.

KAMC News reports that Garza and 26-year-old Curtis Smith had gotten into a dispute. Garza is said to have gone out to confront Smith with a gun.

A witness says at that time they heard shots ring out.

Smith admitted later that he intended to shoot Garza, but instead hit Parramore.

Smith denied being a part of the shooting and told investigators he left before it happened, but once confronted he changed his story and admitted he came back after the shooting to pick up his girlfriend.

Smith was charged with murder and remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $300,000.
