Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, political analyst and Washington Times columnist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to talk about election news and Texas races with the primary elections fast approaching.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the contest between Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and challenger Scott Milder, as well as Beto O'Rourke's bid to unseat Senator Ted Cruz, and the continuing uproar surrounding public education and home schooling.

About the looming battle over home schools and public education Mackowiak said,

The public education lobby is activating for the Republican primary, and they're working to actually infiltrate the Republican primary all over the state to basically try to prevent school choice from taking off as an issue in the next legislative session.
