Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, Washington Times columnist and political analyst Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss recent news and events.

Mackowiak and Hasty talked about speculation on primary challengers to President Donald Trump, border security and the spectacle of the caravans trying to cross the U.S. border, the investigative agenda of the Democrat controlled House and the possibility of impeaching the president, as well as the rise of Beto O'Rourke.

While discussing possible GOP challengers to President Trump, Mackowiak said,

There's a political reality to the Trump presidency and where the Republican Party is, and that is that he remains highly popular among Republican voters with 85-95 percent support. There is no path for anyone who wants to challenge him in the primary.
