On Monday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Washington Times columnist and political analyst Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss recent news and events.

Mackowiak and Hasty talked about Saturday's vote in the U.S. Senate confirming Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court, as well as the upcoming mid-term elections in November and the stakes involved. Mackowiak said, "It's a victory for basic decency, for sustaining the presumption of innocence and the rights of the accused. It's a victory for anyone who wants to disincentivize smear tactics for political outcomes."

The two also discussed Texas races, including the contest between Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Beto O'Rourke for the U.S. Senate.
