Reports say that one man was injured following a shooting that happened on Tuesday, May 18th in Lubbock.

KAMC News reports that it happened in the 2100 block of 16th Street. The exact time the shooting occurred wasn't specified.

Police arrived on scene and found several bullet casing outside of the home as well as multiple bullet holes throughout multiple walls in the house. They also found blood from the victim on the floor starting in the living room and heading towards the hallway and kitchen.

One of the victims that were in the house told police that they heard gunshots coming from the front of their house, so they grabbed an axe to guard the door to their bedroom just in case someone came in. As they were hiding, they called 911.

Another one of the victims said that he was in the living room with another person when he saw the suspect, who hasn't been identified, approach the home open fire into the living room through the window. One of the victims was struck by the gunfire and managed to crawl from the living room towards the kitchen. They ended up only suffering moderate injuries, and remain hospitalized.

The identities of those involved have not been publicly released.

Lubbock Police continue to investigate this incident.
