Lubbock Police Still Seeking Help Identifying Assault Suspect
Officers with the Lubbock Police Department continue to ask for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault in July of 2020.
It's reported that it happened a little bit before 9 a.m. on July 19th at the Family Dollar located at 1905 34th Street.
LPD says the suspect and an additional person arrived in a black, 4-door vehicle and entered the store. The additional person apparently had a disagreement with an employee, and the two were yelling at each other. The suspect then joined in the argument.
The suspect is said to have left the store and then come back later. The employee attempted to stop him from entering, but was ultimately unsuccessful.
It's then said the suspect began punching the employee after approaching them. The employee attempted to defend themselves with a silver metal clothing bar, but the suspect was able to take it and began hitting them with it. It's also said that the suspect attacked a second employee and a third person in the store.
It's not believed that the additional person the suspect entered the store with had done anything wrong.
Pictures of the unidentified suspect can be seen above.
