Lubbock Police Investigate My Little Playhouse Learning Center

Lubbock police are currently investigating the My Little Playhouse Learning Center, located at 3628 and 50^th Street. According to KAMC News, the investigation surrounds the alleged incident of a staff member mistreating a child under their care.

A 50-second video posted to social media appears to show an employee pulling on a 3-year-old’s hair. The girl seems lethargic and stumbles a few times in the video, at which point the employee pulls her hair and tells her to stand up.

The person who posted the video online is also alleged to be an employee of the learning center and can be heard laughing behind the camera. KAMC News reports that the owners and directors of the My Little Playhouse Learning Center have fired the staff involved with the video and that the Texas Department of Childcare Licensing has also been notified.

The mother of the 3-year-old shown in the video is also reportedly seeking legal action against either the My Little Playhouse Learning Center or the employees involved.
