Lubbock Nightclub Under Investigation

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has opened two investigations into a Lubbock area nightclub.

Lubbock nightclub El Patron is under investigation after two fights on the premises, one of which resulted in the shooting death of a patron. On Sunday Lubbock Police reported 23 year old Jose Garcia was shot outside of the establishment and taken to UMC where he succumbed to his wounds.

This is not the first time El Patron has been on the doorstep of discipline. The owner of the establishment received a warning two years ago for the night clubs failure to be up to code, and now faces fines or suspension pending the results of this investigation.
