Lubbock Man Sentenced for Distributing Cocaine
33-year-old Gregory Jerome Mitchell was sentenced on January 19th to over 20 years in federal prison for distributing cocaine.
Mitchel was charged in August with multiple counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and methamphetamine. Mitchel pleaded guilty in September to one count of distribution or possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base. He has been in custody since his arrest in August.
According to plea documents filed in the case, in May of last year, Mitchell arranged to sell 6 ounces of crack cocaine. He was ultimately held responsible for approximately 550 grams of cocaine base and approximately 4 kilograms of methamphetamine.
