A Lubbock man was arrested in Hockley County on Monday, August 30th after being accused of an aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon back in October of 2020.

KAMC News reports that a woman told officers that the suspect, 28-year-old Dominnic Dontae Fisher, was formally in a relationship with her, but was following her. The woman said that Fisher had gone into the store that she worked at on several occasions, asking when she got off.

The woman called a friend to give her a ride after she got off work, and that friend told police that Fisher followed them in his own vehicle. It's also said that he yelled at the 2 and attempted to collide with their vehicle. A red car also pulled up beside them during this, so they pulled into a parking lot. There, the victim says that the men in the red car told Fisher to grab her, so he did, allegedly grabbing her neck with both hands.

Reports go on to say the victim was taken against her will and forced inside the vehicle, but was able to eventually escape.

Fisher wasn't located until almost a year later when he was arrested in Hockley County. He was transferred to the Lubbock County Detention Center on Tuesday, August 31st. His bond has been set at $50,000.
