Now here is a crime many of us would not even dare try.

A Lubbock man caused quite the disturbance on Wednesday when Lubbock Police were called to a cellphone tower around 22nd Street and Memphis Avenue. Police reported that a man was climbing the cellphone tower.

Police were initially called at around 3:47 p.m. Wednesday afternoon according to KAMC, just after 5:00 p.m. police confirmed that the cellphone tower climber had indeed climbed back down the tower and wasn't armed.

Police identified the man as 49-year-old Chad Coffey. Coffey was charged with criminal trespassing, according to LPD. Police said Coffey was not armed, and no injuries were reported during the incident.

Lubbock Police haven't released why Coffey was climbing the cellphone tower or if they had any challenges trying to get him to climb down.
