Lubbock Lawyer & Democrat John Gibson Running for District 84

Lubbock Lawyer and Democrat John Gibson is announcing his campaign for House District 84.

Gibson grew up in Houston before receiving a degree in political science from the University of Houston in 1992. He graduated from Texas Tech’s School of Law in 1995 and started his own firm in 1997.

Gibson will hold his campaign announcement for District 84 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, at 1302 Avenue Q. Gibson has been publicly endorsed by fellow Democrat Samantha Fields, who recently dropped out of the race for District 83.

Today is also the Texas filing deadline to run for office in 2020.
