LISD Board Member Mark Blankenship Disagrees with Part of Dress Code
Mark Blankenship was appointed to the school board earlier this year. Now he hopes voters will elect him.
On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, he was asked if a change that made the dress code more lenient – a change made before he was on the board -- was a mistake.
“I think it probably was,” Blankenship said. “What parents want to do with their kids outside of school hours I think is their business. But in a school, I think it’s appropriate to have some sort of dress code. Where the district is trying to go now is to be consistent with other districts in our area.
