Justice Doss Discusses Importance of Applying Law as Written [Interview]

The Chad Hasty Show on Thursday hosted Justice Larry Doss for a discussion on issues in the race for the 7th Court of Appeals. 

Doss, appointed to the seat in 2019 by Governor Greg Abbott, shared information about his experience and endorsements, as well as his philosophy for the court. 

"We spend a lot focusing on the best candidate for a legislative position, for making law, but that's really not the job of the judges," Doss said. "The judge's job is to apply the law based upon the way the law is written, and that isn't quite as sexy on the campaign trail as being able to talk about policy issues."
