The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a reward for a fugitive with ties to the Lubbock area.

Authorities are searching for 22-year-old Josue M. Reyna, who is November’s featured fugitive.

Reyna is 5 feet 9 inches tall, and was last known to weigh around 145 pounds. He has a violent criminal history, and some family members have suspected ties to a Mexican drug cartel.

He has warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Retaliation. DPS says that he has violent tendencies and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Reyna’s last known address was in the 500 block of East Tulane in Lubbock, and has family ties to Lubbock, Seminole, Brownfield, Austin, San Antonio, Fabens and Eagle Pass, but could also be in Coahuila, Mexico.

The reward for information leading to Reyna’s capture has been increased to $17,500.

Anonymous tips can be provided to Texas Crime Stoppers by calling their hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), text the letters DPS, followed by your tip, to 274637 from your cell phone, submitting a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, or by submitting a Facebook tip here.
