Josh Jung Named Big 12 Player of the Week After Huge Week at the Plate
On Monday afternoon, Texas Tech SS/3B Josh Jung was announced as the Big 12 Player of the Week. This marks the first time Jung has received this accolade this season, and the third time overall he has been given the award.
Jung swung an incredibly hot bat during the week, hitting .583 with 2 home runs, 8 RBI as well as 7 walks during this stretch. It couldn't of come at a better time as the Red Raiders were able to sweep the previous Big 12 leading Oklahoma State Cowboys in a three game set over the weekend.
Jung and the Red Raiders are set to welcome UTRGV to town for a quick two game home mid-week matchup. First pitch of Tuesday's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and it's also Bark in the Park night at the stadium, so bring all the good boys and girls to the Law.
