Jerry Reynolds Test Drives the New 2019 Toyota Avalon
Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin the Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave King and Paul R. Bean to talk about his test drive of the week as well as other auto industry news.
This week Reynolds was driving the new 2019 Toyota Avalon, which has been Toyota's flagship sedan. Jerry expressed that in the past he has been a little bored with this car. It has always been a good car, but he was never particularly impressed by the look or the performance. However, this has changed with this model. "They've made some really nice upgrades for the new 2019, especially on the interior side." The vehicle has great interior seats and door panels, and lots of head and trunk room.
The main thing that bothered Reynolds was a large grill that stretches across the front of the car. Jerry didn't think this would be a problem once you drive it, saying, "I think that if you get behind the wheel of the car and drive it where you can't see that grill, people are going to enjoy this car." The car has a normal and sports mode, automatic breaking that will slow you down, but not bring you to a complete stop, and great gas millage on the highway.
