Jason Isaac: Energy Is A National Security, Sovereignty Issue [INTERVIEW]
Wednesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Jason Isaac from the Texas Public Policy Foundation appeared on the program to talk about President Donald J. Trump's upcoming visit to the Permian Basin, energy policy, and the importance of maintaining the nation's supply of reliable energy.
While speaking about the purpose of president's agenda and meetings in West Texas, Isaac said,
[Energy is a] national security issue, it's a sovereignty issue, I think that's important for the president to know...We are world leaders in environmental protection, not only in Texas, but in the United States. And I think those are a couple of important messages the president needs to know about, as well as some of the threats to energy production: These proposed Green New Deals and Paris Climate Accords...[that] will absolutely decimate our economy in this country, it'll decimate our freedoms around the world.
