Not only does Father's Day fall in June, but it's also Men's Health Month. In the spirit of honoring the most Dad cooking technique of all — grilling — Brenda Garcia, United Supermarkets' corporate dietitian, is sharing a few ideas for supporting dads' (and all men's) health:

1) Throw those fruits and veggies on the grill, too! Garcia suggests peaches, watermelon, or cauliflower. Corn is a great option, too, and we love this zucchini recipe with basil and goat cheese!

2) Consider leaner cuts of meat. Or seafood. Ribeye, for example, is best kept for special occasions, while sirloin is a leaner meat perfect for everyday meals. Of course, chicken, salmon, and shrimp are versatile and healthy options you could serve as a main dish or incorporate into tacos, salads, or skewers. (Important reminder: Here are the target internal temperatures for various meats.)

3) Consider smart additions to burger recipes. A can of black beans will add fiber to ground beef burgers. Or mix in chopped mushrooms and a bit of diced onions. You could swap the ground beef for ground turkey, or skip the bun.
