It’s World Chocolate Day, And Lubbock Has The Perfect Place To Celebrate
Mmm, chocolate. Not only is it a delicious treat, but it's also arguably good* for you!
*Why It's Good For You
The Cacao seed, from which we derive the powder that makes chocolate, is packed with flavonoids and theobromine. These boost your heart health and your brain power. If you are looking for freshly made-in-house chocolates in a wide variety of flavors, textures, and styles, then you are looking for Chickies Tasty Treats in Lubbock.
I've been a big fan since this chocolate shop opened a few years ago. I love everything she has to offer- from house-made ice cream to cookies and beyond. But my absolute favorite is her many chocolates, and I love that there is always something new to try.

If you've never been, I would recommend picking up a mixed dozen and experimenting! If you really are shooting for those chocolately health benefits, be sure to pick up some of the dark chocolate choices, as they will contain more cacao. However, everything in the chocolate case is absolutely delicious- and even the caramel and marshmallow is made in-house!
Chickies rotates flavors of chocolate bonbons, macarons, cupcakes, etc., so there's always a great variety, and a store full of prepackaged options and make-your-own mix choices. There are plenty of gluten-free options, too, if you need that.
Happy World Chocolate Day!
