Study Finds Texas Couples Are Among The Happiest in America

All your exes may not actually live in Texas. A new study by Counseling Psychology ranked the happiness of couples in Texas surprisingly high compared to the rest of the United States. Nearly 2,000 Americans were asked to rate the happiness of their relationship, and while we didn't come in first, we still did pretty well.

Here's a little breakdown of the data:

According to the study, Americans on average rate the happiness of their relationship at 8 out of 10. The happiest couples in the United States reside in Utah, with an overall score of 70.78 out of 100, followed by Georgia at 70.6, and then Washington at 69.21.

A little further down the list, Texans ranked 11th with a score of 68.22 out of 100. Not too shabby.

The scores across the states were actually within pretty close range of one another. The unhappiest couples in America, according to the data, are couples living in Wisconsin. They scored a measly 59.13. It looks like there are more than a few people in the dog house up north. Wisconsin is followed by Iowa with a score of 60.82 and then Michigan at 61.92.
