According to The Hill, Senator John Cornyn doesn't believe that a physical wall along the entire U.S.-Mexico border would rate highly among Texans.

Cornyn likes the idea of a "layered approach" to the border according to The Hill. The use of fencing, technology, and more guards is something Cornyn has spoken about before. As far as a whole wall goes, Cornyn said in a radio interview in New York that Texans would rate it low.

"I think people would say, if you are talking about a physical wall, it would rate very low. Because I think most people in Texas understand that our 1,200-mile border is not ... the same at every point along the way," Cornyn, the Senate majority whip, said in an interview Sunday with John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York.
