Hypercars Have Been Saved From Environmental Regulations

Last week at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, famed hybrid hypercar, the McLaren P1, destroyed a Corvette Z06 around the track.

The P1, Porsche 918, and Ferrari’s La Ferrari are all gasoline-electric hybrids that are meant to save the hypercar from environmental regulations that Europe has implemented over the past decade. By combining the instant torque from the electric motors and the brute force of the gasoline motors, these hypercars will continue to beat their gasoline only powered siblings, while keeping to Europe’s stringent emission laws.
