Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, Caroline Joiner, executive director for Texas and the southeast region for TechNet joined the show to discuss The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and how the trade agreement will affect Texas, and import/export jobs in the state.

TechNet is a fundraising network and policy advocacy organization for federal and state policy important to U.S. innovation and trade.

While talking about TPP and it's affect on Texas trade and employment, Joiner said,

This is 3.2 million jobs in Texas, and those jobs are growing at a faster rate than overall employment, and they're paying more. These are good jobs. Texas jobs that are in export intensive industries pay about sixteen percent more than average jobs. So these are good jobs for Texans.
