What is the Hottest Day Ever Recorded in Texas?
You might actually be surprised to learn that the hottest day in Texas history didn't occur in the last few years and it didn't happen in July or August, typically the hottest months of the summer.

According to SaveonEnergy.com, there is a tie for the hottest day in Texas history. The first was set on August 12, 1936 in Seymour, Texas. The high temperature on that day reached 120 degrees. And on June 28, 1994, the town of Monahans also hit 120 degrees.

Of course there have been plenty of times where the temperature has hit over 100 degrees and we will see those temperatures return during July and August. So when the temperature hits 102, just remember, it could be worse.
