The Lubbock City Council may vote to put together a task-force to study the issue of payday lending in Lubbock. The task-force would then make recommendations to the city and state about their findings. As has been seen in other Texas cities, some in Lubbock are concerned about the high-interest rates that lenders charge. For many, a payday loan is an option of last resort when struggling to make payments.
