Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, Harry Kazianis, Director of Defense Studies at the Center for the National Interest, joined Chad to discuss the long simmering and critical situation between North Korea and the United States.

Kazianis spoke in depth about Kim Jun-un and his probable intentions, and the history behind the entire situation. Kazianis also shared his own expectations of what to expect from the standoff between the two nations and their leaders, and how it will impact events in the near future.

While speaking about recent statements by 2020 presidential hopeful Joe Biden, Kazianis said,

It was [former President Barack] Obama's administration that put forward this whole thing called strategic patience with North Korea, which essentially, the Obama administration stuck it's head in the sand, did absolutely nothing, and for eight years the North Koreans built up their nuclear missile capabilities. And this is why Donald Trump has to face this problem...This is a problem the Obama administration left on the table for Trump, and now [President Trump has] got to figure out how to fix it.
