Friday on The Chad Hasty Show Director of Defense Studies of the Center for National Interest Harry Kazianis joined Chad to talk about the meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in and what this could mean for the future of the countries.

When discussing the meeting between the two powers, Kazianis said,

All looks great, but it's all promises. And in fact, they're almost the same exact promises that the North Koreans and the South Koreans have made to each other back in 2000 when they had a summit, and in 2007 when they made a summit."

He went on to further explain his skepticism towards Un and his decisions and that he's doubtful that North Korea will get rid of their weapons and work with the rest of the world. He also mentioned that he believes that President Trump needs to, "actually try and take all these promises and actually make them into something."

More information about Harry Kazianis is available at the Center for the National Interest website.
