Houston Police Department is investigating the shooting deaths of two teenagers at a "makeshift club" that occurred over the weekend.

2 Deaths and Others Injured in Houston

In what Houston Assistant Chief Luis Menendez-Sierra called "a very hectic scene", officers arrived to a "makeshift club"--a type of last-minute pop-up party--that was comprised mainly of teenagers.

Menendez-Sierra indicated that officers immediately tended to the hurt juveniles. They noticed that multiple teens were suffering from gunshot wounds.

The culprit was not identified, but witnesses stated they saw a man dressed in all black wearing a black hoodie and black mask to cover his face firing a pistol into the crowd.

Two teens--a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy--died from the gunshots. The boy was deceased at the scene while the girl died later after being rushed to the hospital.

One girl who is 13 years old was also rushed to a nearby hospital and was in critical condition. The others who were injured include a 17-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old: all females.

Difficulties of an Unsanctioned Club

Menendez-Sierra also indicated that it's very difficult to obtain surveillance footage of the incident, as the building was not a sanctioned night club.

"No regulations, there's nothing guarding it, nothing to make sure that it's a legit establishment," the Assistant Chief of Houston Police stated.

Houston Public Media also included that it's believed that the security guards posted at the location left the scene during investigation.

Houston PD is still searching for the shooter.
