Governor Greg Abbott Endorses State Rep. John Frullo’s Re-Election Bid
On Wednesday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott officially announced a renewed endorsement of State Representative John Frullo’s (R- Lubbock) re-election campaign.
Rep. Frullo was first elected to the Texas House in 2010, and Governor Abbott praised Frullo’s work to reduce property taxes, fight human trafficking, and improve public education.
“Thanks to Representative Frullo, Texas is on a path to a brighter future,” said Governor Abbott. “Representative Frullo was a key leader in securing much needed reforms to our property tax system, and ensured that our public school system is fully funded. I encourage the people of Lubbock to join me in supporting him for re-election.”
Representative Frullo has had bills passed during the past two legislative sessions that help law enforcement fight human trafficking, and clarify knife possession laws across the state. He also worked with State Senator Charles Perry, State Rep. Dustin Burrows, and other legislators, to get legislation passed which created the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine in Amarillo.
In the latest legislative session, Rep. Frullo served as the Vice Chair of the International Relations & Economic Development Committee, plus the Higher Education Committee and the House Calendars Committee.
State Rep. Frullo is currently unchallenged in the 2020 Republican Primary and his District 84 represents most of Lubbock.
