Fort Bragg Army Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair deferred entering a plea this morning.

The 27-year Army Officer who served five combat tours faces charges including: forcible sodomy, wrongful sexual conduct, violating orders, engaging in inappropriate relationships and adultery.

All are punishable under the UCMJ, which is the military’s law.

Sinclair’s defense is attempting to have the prosecution disqualified over e-mails that were un-intentionally sent to them.

The general faces life in prison if he is convicted.

This case follows a separate sex scandal involving other high-ranking officers and caused a slew of ethics training across all branches of the military.
