Lubbock’s Controversial Arabic ‘Love Is for All’ Message Turns Into T-Shirt Phenomenon
In February, a black Arabic flag with a heart and “Love for Everyone” written in Arabic on it was flown at the top of Lubbock’s Citizen’s Tower. Now, that same design and message is being sold on t-shirts at a Lubbock clothing store.
KAMC News reports Shawn Anglin, the owner of Culture Clothing which consigns various shirts from local vendors, was given 11 shirts to sell by Kyle Alexander Holub.
Holub was arrested by Lubbock police in February for criminal trespassing, which allowed him to fly his flag atop Citizen's Tower.
Before the end of the first day, 10 of the 11 shirts had been sold.
Culture Clothing plans to continue selling the shirts as long as there is interest and Holub expects to bring in another shipment this week.
