Dr. Vance Ginn: Texas Hospitals Are Not In Crisis [INTERVIEW]
Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, Texas Tech University alum Dr. Vance Ginn, chief economist at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, appeared on the program to talk about coronavirus numbers, the truth behind reported data, and what it all means for Texans.
While speaking about reports that attempt to pass the impression that Texas hospitals are almost filled to capacity with COVID-19 patients, Ginn said,
One thing that we often don't hear is that, hospitals usually have about ninety percent of their beds full at any point in time, much less when coronavirus, COVID-19 is going on...You often don't hear that. You just hear 'Oh ICU beds are at ninety percent capacity.' Well, that's pretty typical.
