Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Dr. Donald May, District 19 candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about his run for the position currently held by Randy Neugebauer, who has announced his pending retirement.

Dr. May and Hasty discussed many issues, among them were May's leadership abilities and experience, the state of affairs in Washington, D.C., terrorism and the federal government's duties to protect American citizens and it's border.

Opening the interview, when asked why he wanted to run for Congress, Dr. May replied,

Chad, Washington's broken. The problems created up there are not created just by the Democrats, the problems are created by the Republicans. I place most of the blame on the Republicans, Republican cowardice, inability to stand up to the Democrats. Bowing down to the Democrats, and allowing things to happen that should not happen.

While talking about the issues of America's weakened economy, military, and lax border security, and how those problems can be solved with condensed legislation, May said,

"These are problems that are easy to fix. They can be done incrementally. We don't need two thousand page bills to fix these, we can do these with ten page bills. I don't think a bill should go to the President's desk if it has more words in it than the Constitution of the United States."

Hasty and May also talked about May's ongoing legal situation, and how it affects his candidacy.
