Democrat Samantha Carrillo Fields to Run for House District 84

Democrat Samantha Carrillo Fields is once again running to unseat Republican Representative John Frullo for House District 84 in 2020.

Fields will make her official campaign announcement July 23rd at 4 p.m. just outside the gymnasium of Dunbar College Preparatory Academy in East Lubbock.

Fields is a Lubbock native and a current member of Lubbock Area Young Democrats and the Lubbock NAACP. According to her website, she supported the Bernie Sanders campaign in 2016 and went on to run against Frullo in the 2018 election.

Of the more than 45,765 votes cast, Fields received 39.8% to Frullo’s 60.2%. The 2020 election for House District 84 will be March 3rd.
