Dead Body Discovered After Fire Near Lake J.B. Thomas

According to the Borden County Sheriff's Office, a dead body was discovered at the scene of a fire near Lake J.B. Thomas back on December 6th.

KAMC News reports Sheriff Benny Allison told reporters the body was discovered after the

fire was extinguished.

The victim’s remains were sent to Lubbock for an autopsy and have yet to be identified.

The Borden County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Rangers, and the State Fire Marshall’s Office continue to investigate.
