It seems like everything is firing at all cylinders right now for the Texas Tech men's basketball team. They are off to a 6-0 start, have easily defeated their opponents and are now ranked #22 in the nation. To top off what has been a great few weeks for the Red Raiders, freshman Jarrett Culver has been named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.

Culver averaged 19.5 points, 4 assists, 3.5 boards, and 2 steals a game this past week as the Red Raiders improved their record to 6-0 and notched their first AP Top 25 since the 2009 season. The Coronado High School graduate scored a career high 21 points against Wofford, then followed up with an 18-point, 7-assist performance against Savannah State on Saturday.

Up next for the Red Raiders is a neutral site match up against the 5-1 Seton Hall Pirates in the Under Armour Reunion game at Madison Square Garden. That game will tip-off this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and be broadcast nationally by FS1.
