Cotton Physiologist Dr. Glen Ritchie and Agronomy Club President Emily Keeling joined Lubbock's First News Wednesday (August 26).

"I wanted to go into something that had at least four syllables in the title," Ritchie jokingly said. "As a physiologist I primarily focus on the growth and the development of cotton."

In West Texas, cotton is one of the easiest crops to grow and it's some of the best that you're going to see in the world.

Keeling later discussed her duties as Agronomy Club President. She's responsible for organizing tours and speakers for members of the club. Speakers are from different Ag divisions in town such as Bayer and Monsanto.

Keeling's dad is also an Agronomist at AgriLife at A&M, a weed scientist and a farmer.
