Cornyn Says Congress Still Doing Important Work Despite Coronavirus [INTERVIEW]
Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) joined the broadcast to talk about several issues that are up front in the nation's capitol.
Cornyn shared an update on the ongoing confirmation process of nominees for federal judge and other positions, as well as how the Senate is managing to continue important work during the coronavirus crisis.
We're telling people that it's safe to gradually begin to go back to work, observing of course, all the right protocols about social distancing and personal hygiene. I think it's important that Congress demonstrate that we're not holed-up in the fetal position in our homes or some undisclosed location. We need to demonstrate how it can be safely done.
Also in the discussion was the work that has been, and will be done soon providing much needed assistance for small businesses as well as employees and their families, and what is ahead for the nation's economy.
