As KFYO's Rob Snyder reported yesterday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a federal lawsuit against the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The lawsuit contests the election results in those four states and alleges the states made unlawful changes to their election procedures before the general election. The lawsuit also alleges that mail-in ballots were not secured from fraud.

According to FOX News, at least 17 other states have joined Texas in the lawsuit.

The states that joined the Wednesday brief are Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and West Virginia.

They argue that they have an interest in the case because "the unconstitutional administration of elections" in some states dilutes votes in their own states.

But not everyone is on board with the lawsuit just yet.

Senator John Cornyn told CNN's Manu Raju about Texas' lawsuit that "I frankly struggle to understand the legal theory." Cornyn went on to say that he didn't think Texas should have a say in how other states administer their elections. Cornyn wrapped up his comments by saying he wasn't convinced in the lawsuit.

Cornyn's comments came hours after President Trump embraced Texas' lawsuit against the four states.

Steve Vladeck, a professor at the University of Texas School of Law wrote for NBC on Wednesday that he believed the lawsuit is a stunt that is doomed.
