On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Congressman Randy Neugebauer joined Chad to talk about the recent developments in Washington and the United Nations.

When asked about Palestine wanting its own statehood, Neugebauer said the move was a "premature step," for the country. He said that the U.S. would probably veto any attempt Palestine makes for statehood. He also spoke about President Barack Obama's plan to increases taxes, saying that it was the administrations' "spending spree" that got them into a financial mess in the first place, and that Obama should focus more of cutting spenidng instead of raising taxes.
