On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Congressman Randy Neugebauer joined Chad and Rex to talk about all the latest coming out of Washington.

When asked about the GOP candidates' views on immigration, Neugebauer stressed that this was an issue that needed to be discussed and offered up his own idea:

"We have to have a system in this country that rewards people that do it [immigration] the right way and punishes people that do it the wrong way."

Neugebauer said that the government cannot gauge how well a program is doing just by how much money is being spent on it, and that Homeland Security has not spent much money on border defense. He also said there should be more transparency in the Federal Reserve, and that the reserve acting like a "global savior," could be a dangerous thing.

You can listen to Congressman Randy Neugebauer on Mondays at 7:35 during Lubbock's First News.
