On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Congressman Randy Neugebauer talked with Chad and Rex about the latest issues coming out of Washington.

When asked about the current state of the GOP primaries, Neugebauer said that he isn't surprised by how fractured the race is this late in the primaries. He said that Texas could still play a role in the primaries if things keep going the way they're going. He also said that there's really no candidate that Republicans are very excited to vote about.

"I think everybody is focused on the fact the we need to make Barack Obama a one-term president that there's just nobody out there at this particular point that's really captured the hearts and minds of Republican voters..."

Neugebauer also commented about a 1995 video of attorney general Eric Holder talking about "brainwashing" people to be anti-gun. Neugebauer said that the Obama administration is very anti-gun, and that gun issues that come up in Congress is anything but unanimous. He also talked about the current situation in Afghanistan, the Farm Bill, and spoke with a listener about NATO and the NDAA.

You can listen to Congressman Randy Neugebauer Mondays at 7:35 during Lubbock's First News.
