Wednesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Jason Corley, Lubbock County Commissioner Precinct 2, joined guest host Matt Crow in the KFYO studio to talk about issues facing Lubbock County.

Corley and Crow discussed road work being planned in the county, the coronavirus crisis, the county budget, unemployment, the Lubbock County Expo Center, and much more.

While speaking about progress on upgrades to Woodrow Road, Corley said,

We're in the design phase on a lot of those projects, Woodrow Road being the main one that needs to be addressed. We're looking to go into a five lane road from I-27 all the way to Slide Road to help with that congestion and take care of that growth.

When asked about a beginning time frame for that road's improvements, Corley said,

COVID's affect a lot of things, but I believe we're shooting for the start of 2022, or hopefully in 2021 we'll be able to start getting some things moving.
