Chad Hasty Joins Top Conservatives At Resurgent Gathering

On Friday The Chad Hasty Show was broadcast live from Austin at the first ever Resurgent Gathering. Hasty interviewed several notable conservatives during the program, including Senator Ted Cruz (click here for the Cruz interview), Resurgent host Erick Erickson, Georgia Representative Jody Hice, Texas GOP Chairman James Dickey, as well as conservative commentators and strategists Matt Mackowiak and David Guenthner.

The interviews spanned many different topics, all centered around expanding and maintaining conservatism in the United States. While speaking with Rep. Jody Hice, Hasty asked why many consider Hice to be 'too conservative', and what it means. In his reply, Hice said,

You always hear this rhetoric that you've got to be centrist, middle-of-the-road to get things done. And my question is, 'How's that working out for us?' You cannot be status-quo in an era such as we're living [in] these days. We're really watching the demise of our country right under our nose. We're in the fight of our life. This is no time to be floating down stream like a dead fish.
