Last week on The Chad Hasty Show, Chad talked about the April 09, 2015 Lubbock City Council meeting, and the $342,465 funding for the North & East Lubbock Community Development Corporation (NELCDC) that was approved by the council during the meeting. Hasty says that the money is being irresponsibly spent.

District 4 City Council member Jim Gerlt offered an amendment paying the funding for the NELCDC via installments through Sept 1st. Mayor Glen Robertson, Council members Karen Gibson and Jeff Griffith were the dissenting votes.

Hasty said,

Jim Gerlt, City Councilman, he offered up an amendment that, well the total of 342,000 dollars, it won't be all paid at once. We're going to separate this out into four payments, an installment plan for the citizens getting screwed out of there money, that's nice. You don't get screwed all at once, it's in four installments.
