Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Hasty read from the resignation letter of recently elected Lubbock County Democrat Chair Marjorie Reynolds.

In the letter, Reynolds referred to local Democrat precinct chairs as being (among other descriptions) vindictive, rebellious, short-sighted, and self-centered.

Lubbock County Chairman Steve Evans called in to the show to share his opinion about what might be going on in the local Democrat party. Evans said, "She figured out that sometimes it's hard to be the chair of a party...Maybe she didn't know what she was getting in to."

Evans and Hasty discussed what can take place within political parties after losses such as the one suffered by the Democrats in the recent presidential election, which resulted in Hillary Rodham Clinton's embarrassing and resounding defeat by political newcomer Donald J. Trump.
