Castro County Teen Dies in ATV Crash

A 14-year-old boy was killed in an ATV crash in Castro County on Sunday, February 16th.

KAMC News reports that it happened at around 5:15 p.m. on County Road 527 about 3 miles east of Nazareth.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the teen was driving at an unsafe speed on a dirt road and lost control of the ATV, causing it to run into a ditch and eject the teen.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.
