Texas Tech baseball’s Jace Jung has already been crowned as the best player in the Big 12. Now he's being talked about as the best hitter in Texas and the best player in college baseball.

Jung was named as one of four finalists for the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award. A fairly new award, only created in 2017, but one that has historically been owned by Red Raiders. Hunter Hargrove won the inaugural trophy back in 2017 and Josh Jung claimed the honor in 2019.

The Award started as a regional award but has since become a national honor so Jace Jung taking home the Bragan Award would be even more prestigious than the previous two Red Raiders who own the title.

Jung is joined as a finalist by Arizona’s Jacob Berry, Oklahoma’s Tyler Hardman and East Carolina’s Connor Norby.

That's not the only list Jung made today, he's also been named a semifinalist for the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award. One of 25 on that short list.
