Buddy Holly Avenue/Texas Avenue to Close at Marsha Sharp Freeway Monday

A section of Buddy Holly and Texas Avenue will close at the Marsha Sharp Freeway next week as construction continues in the area.

TxDOT will close Buddy Holly Avenue/Texas Avenue at the freeway beginning Monday, to allow crews to rebuild the intersection, as well as make storm sewer and inlet improvements. Southbound Texas Avenue traffic will be detoured west to Avenue Q via the freeway frontage road.

Traffic wanting to connect with northbound Buddy Holly Avenue is encouraged to use either Main or 9^th Streets to connect with Avenue L, and then to take the freeway frontage road east to Buddy Holly.

The work is expected to take 45 days, weather permitting.
